Polio Eradication: Bringing Vaccines to the World

Everyone should read this, this man is so inspiring and this cause is so important.

As a polio survivor, I’ve made it my mission to help bring life-saving vaccines to all children. I was born in India, where I contracted polio as a six-month-old child. My mother, unable to care for me, dropped me off at an orphanage, where I was lucky enough to be adopted by the Anglican Bishop of Yukon and his family. With their support, and after several operations, I learned to walk.

Many in North America and Europe who don’t share my experience have forgotten the impact of polio. But in a handful of countries in Africa and Asia, children are still at risk and suffering from this terrible disease.
