I just wanted to take the opportunity this Volunteers Week to thank the brilliant volunteers who support the Small Charities Coalition/Charity Trustee Networks.
There are so many people to thank, including:
– Our Trustees (I know they get their own Week).
– Our office volunteers- covering areas such as policy, web support and fundraising.
– Volunteers who help support our small charity members: including volunteers from IBM, governance experts, and all the many people involved in our 1-1 matches.
– Everyone else who promotes and champions our work by word of mouth, in social media, on their websites etc.
And of course:
– Everyone who is a volunteer for a small charity across the country.
It goes without saying not only that many small charities would not thrive with volunteers but in fact many small charities would not even survive without volunteers. The smallest charitable organisations in the country, some of whom are our members, are entirely volunteer-run. Small charities provide crucial support for every conceivable area- from children’s charities to medical charities, animal charities to older people’s charities, educational charities to training charities to conservation charities to support charities and much much more.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to say thanks to everyone who has and continues to volunteer for Young Charity Trustees and to my fellow Trustees and other volunteers at Centre 404.
