Young Charity Trustees on LinkedIn

Next month, Young Charity Trustees will be 2 years old. I am particularly proud of the LinkedIn group http://www.linkedin.com/groups/Young-Charity-Trustees-3904769 which was the first thing I started.

The reason I am pleased is firstly because it has grown a lot- it is currently at more than 1,140 members, which is pretty good for a somewhat niche area. The other thing is that it is so nice to see people supporting each other on there. Some people help by posting Trustee positions, others by explaining what roles they are looking for, or signposting people to helpful resources, or giving tips and encouragement.

Making Boards more diverse is not going to happen overnight. But all the many conversations like the ones that take place on the group, as well as on Twitter and via other channels, will gradually chip away at the problem. Thanks so much everyone for your support.
